The 2620 Lofts Advantages:

  1. LEED Certified construction equates to less GREEN out of your pocket each month. Your utility bills will be lower than that of the typical costs associated with loft living due to our use of:
    • HigHigh efficiency, energy saving heating and air conditioning systems. Tenants have experienced LOW UTILITY BILLS - That is what Green/LEED means to our residents…BIG SAVINGS!!!
    • Quiet, modern windows with a historic feel provided by the leaders in the Energy Efficient window manufacturing business - TRACO Manufacturing & Soft-Lite Windows.
  2. Minimal carbon footprint created by each unit. 2620 Lofts will be an energy efficient rental community that preserves the elegance of the 1926 structure, while minimizing each unit's impact on the environment.
  3. 2620 Lofts is constructed to meet LEED Certification requirements (see link below). A highlight of our building's LEED requirements include:
    • Energy Star (www.energystar.gov) appliances, lighting and plumbing fixtures that reduce overall utility costs.
    • 8,300 square feet of Green Roof with indigenous plantings that provides energy savings to the residents by reducing the demands on the heating and air conditioning systems in each unit. This translates to using less energy while providing for better comfort. The installation of the Green Roof also limits run-off rain water which limits our building's impact on the City of Chicago's cost and energy used in processing the millions of gallons that move through the City's storm water capture facility.

  4. 2620 Lofts is a place to be at peace with yourself and unwind on the full amenity green roof complete with an enclosed dog run, huge outdoor deck for sunbathing and BBQs, and breathtaking City and sunset views.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. Compliance and certification to gain this prestigious designation provides confidence to you that 2620 Lofts is a building of the future, designed to have limited impact on the environment and save you money each month.

LEED Certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building project meets the highest green building and performance measures. All certified projects receive a LEED plaque, which is the nationally recognized symbol demonstrating that a building is environmentally responsible, and a healthy place to live and work.

LEED-Certified buildings effectively address today's environmental concerns and lower the cost of living for its residents. A highlight of the criteria required in order to achieve LEED Certification includes:
